Both girls are anxious to start school (Bet they aren't any more excited than I am!) Here's the latest "genealogy". My Granddaddy Walker's family moved from Stewart Co. to Montgomery Co. when he was a small child. Every time Granddaddy came to my house, he always talked about growing up here and it being his old stomping grounds. Well, right before dark (the sun had already set), my Dad was here and we were talking. I mentioned Granddaddy. Daddy told me to get in the truck and he would show me something. We went down the road a ways and he showed me a spot that Granddaddy told him was where he (Granddaddy) grew up! Now, my parents divorced when I was a baby---but this was my Mother's Dad who showed my Dad where he had lived! Granddaddy and my Dad were always good friends and used to do things together. I was amazed that my Dad knew where Granddaddy grew up and never told me-----and believe me, I asked!!! To top it off, as we passed the place Granddaddy used to live, I had Daddy turn around---I thought I spotted something. Sure enough, "something" is still there! It's awfully grown up but you can bet when the weather turns colder, I'll be taking a hike through those woods. Sandy Ellis And---to whoever is having a fit to unsubscribe, try putting the word "request" in the address-- TNDICKSO-L-request@rootsweb.com should do it!

    1. [TNDICKSO] Mary Morrison
    2. gildent
    3. I was looking through one of the antique stores on main street on my lunch hour today in Dickson and noticed an old book. The copy write date on it was 1899, inside the cover it had the name Mary Morrison written on it. It seemed like I saw someone on the list searching that name not too long ago. If there is someone out there interested I saw it at J.J.Farmers on mainstreet. Caroline
