Dear Deanna, My son, who is in college in New York City, sent me a short prayer that helped me some yesterday. "May the One who makes peace in the high heavens spread peace over us and over all humanity, Amen." Repeating that to myself yesterday helped -- some. My heart goes out to your friend and her family. My heart goes out to all the families who lost loved ones and friends yesterday. My heart even goes out to the families of the people who are responsible for this, and I pray that the anger and hatred in the hearts of all so that nothing like this ever happens again. I have to admit, however, that my mind doesn't believe that last will happen. Jan, Thank you for your words - you have a gift that few of us have. This afternoon I telephoned a very close friend and asked if she would like to go out to an early dinner with us. She readily agreed, saying she needed to get away from the news of the day. At the restaurant she explained why. She told us that she and her family believed that her nephew, JEFFREY MLADENEK, was on one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center Bldgs. He was scheduled out this morning from Boston to L.A. and no one had heard from him all day. When we returned home a few hours later, my friend had 3 messages, from her brother, a niece and one of her daughters. They all confirmed that Jeffrey's wife found out that indeed, he was on one of the planes. Jeffrey was a minister and well loved of by many people. Please pray for his family. My friend told me that she knows that Jeffrey was trying to calm the people on the plane, that he was probably praying with them and that she hoped that his presence was helpful to the others who also lost their lives. Michelle How exciting! My great grandmother Laura Belle Berryman [b 23 Sept 1974] was a sister to your Henry Thomas Berryman, Jr. She married William Calvin Smith. I don't have a lot of Berryman information, but I'll 'unearth' it in a couple of days and send to you. Michael Smith and others In the distribution of the estate of James T Clardy {which is on our Dickson site in the People and Places, Wills section] there is a J C Galloway, from Hill or Bosque County Texas or Dickson County TN. With a lot of help, I can now identify all of the other people who were named in the estate except J C Galloway. I would like to update the imformation, but would love to be able to include Mr. Galloway. Michael, do you have anyone in your line who might be connected in some way to James T Clardy who was murdered in 1881 in Dickson County? Does anyone else have any ideas? Thanks, Nettye

Family chronicle Magazine: The Magazine for Families Researching their Roots. Comes in the mail every two months, $24.00 per year. A great magazine.. Full of practical everyday use in researches... It contains articles per specific areas , times in history,, record keeping and all manner of things.. Its like reading a good book It has current information on website. Search records...Articles on Civil War or any particular time of history you might be interested in... iits just a great way to keep up on the newest advances.. help in making your own web.. and practically anything pertaining to genealogy. This month it had an article on the Mulungeons. sometimes its black history records. Critics genealogy products for their usability and ease...gives addresses and place to write or order genealogy products other than the usual you see in most magazines. the thing I like most about this magazine is that it is not an advertisement per say.. tho it does have some.. but more of an instructional type of reading...Learn a lot of history from newer discoveries as records unfold and books are found... and it does not repeat the same tired articles that some of them do! I heartily recommend to give it a try. Use the : www.familychronicle.com to see a sample copy. Lenora
How do you get that magazine. What all does it entail? sharon

Hi Folks, I want to thank all of you who took the time to reply to my "cry". I am happy to say that several of you had the solution and I actually was able to follow directions and it worked! Who says there are no miracles! I also appreciate the URL for the FTM site and have bookmarked it for future reference. You are a great bunch. Jean in Texas
MyFamily.com is now charging for all information above 5 MB. However, if you sign up now, you can expand your site up to 405MB for 39.95 a year and it won't go up in the future, or so they say. I have expanded my site and it cuts out all the ads and provides enough space to add any thing you may want to. If your site starts getting full, just go back in and delete old news and postings that have been there for awhile (you may want to back up some of it to disk) This will free up more space. Just thought I'd share that with you.
