Carlie, Thanks so much for your help. Eliminating is sometimes just as important on the journey. Bonnie
You're right, the bond was 12/3, the marriage was 12/7 Carlie
The marriage book says .. H. A. Jones/Ida Vales, BD#4719, 2/4/1893, D.W. Fleet bondsman, married by Berry Taylor JP, 2/4/1893

Can anyone tell me anything about the John Dickson who was General Joseph's son? My John Dickson was in Franklin County NC in 1800 and in Gibson and Obion Counties in TN from about 1820-1836 where he died. Most of his children named a child William although none of them were named William. His sons were named Jordan, Nathaniel, Bailey and John Jr. Joyce Dixon Helmers ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, May 02, 2004 10:32 AM Subject: [TNDICKSO] Re: Will of General Joseph Dickson > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: DICKSON > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/WhB.2ACI/157.1.1 > > Message Board Post: > > Betty, THANKS so much for this, are you aware of any pics of Gen. Lots of Leathers, no Greenberry or even a G. Carlie
Sorry, it was 26-45. I did not find him in the 1830 census but it is not indexed and the print is poor so could have missed it. Carlie
