The name was changed by a COunty Recorder somewhere along the lines. as this is also a Blood line of mine and several in our groups. The Surname Sims, is this tied into James Sims or Bartlett Sims of Hawkins Co. Tn. ( Where Hudson Johnston and some more of our Kin came out of) I do have a list on the SIms families in one of my trees. Hudson Johnston in 1783 bought his land in betweem (Bartlett) Sim and a Ingram in what was Washngton Co. NC prior to Tennessee Statehood .It was Sullivan Co. for two years and then Hawkins split from it. ANy Sims info is greatly appreciated. 3. Molly I am trying to send a third e-mail to you addy. Did you get the e-mail on how to nvaigate on the Family Treees as they load with one person ( that is a start person) then go to the search at the top of the Screen and click on it. THen ENter a Surname and see what names are there undrer Matlock or CHoate. The Search will then produce a list of people in that tree with that last name and births. Select on ( double Click I think) then the tree will reload to the person you selected. All you have to do is follow the Green arrows to go up and down. SOmetimes a Chilrens box will appear and t hen you have to click on that Child. You can also get a descendant report by using the BRACKETs on that person. Tony

All it had in it was there was downloadable GEDCOM files in the Cabinet section:: But these files are Huge Bases. I did this So others can use it in you own GED Formated program it would make it easier to search for the info as you know you program better then the one provided by My Family.com. I even have a hard time finding things in that tree. SO I try and rememeber which tree some kinsman are in.
