Folks, Old Spencer Mill Fall Fest will be held this Sat. Sept. 4th 10-5pm. The DC Capt. McCauley SCV Camp #260 will be hosting a Confederate camp & reenactors to tell our side of the story to all attending. We also have the T.K.Porter Battery Lgt. Artillery from Gallatin this year firing their cannon! Storytellers, Tennessee Longhunters, Native Americans, Spinners & Weavers will host living history demonstrations. LIVE Country/Bluegrass/Gospel music will be played throughout the day from various groups including The Caudels & dulcimer music by "Mountain Laurel", while hayrides, blacksmithing, soap & candle-making, woodcarving demonstrations, kettle corn, sutlers & lots of arts & craft artists are present. Cornmeal grinding & tours of Old Spencer's Mill on scenic Parker's Creek will be going on as well. The best country vittels in the area will be available by the old mill pavillion's kitchen.
