I am researching the following families and will be happy to exchange information with anyone else working on these lines: REGISTER, Thaddeus Sebastian -- his siblings, children, and related families LUTHER, George -- his children and their in-laws but especially the family of his oldest son Travis THOMPSON -- the descendants of Neal Thompson (who was in Davidson, later Cheatham, County in early 1800s) some of whom moved into Dickson County from Cheatham County HAWKINS, Benjamin C. -- his siblings and children and related families MYATT, Kendrick -- his siblings and children and related families HOWELL, Benjamin -- his children and descendants and related families Betty Ravenholt
I am researching the Ewing family. They moved from Ohio to Garner's Creek and Tennessee City and lived there from 1901 to ~1925. James M. Ewing (1842-1932) was my great-grandfather who came to Tennessee City in 1901. Although he had other children, four of them had roots in Dickson Co. His two sons, Wallace Edward and Harvey lived in Tennessee City. He also had two daughters, Isabelle and Wilda, who married Fews and lived in Tenn. City and Dickson until the 1960s. Ken Hemmerly
Joyce it is good to see you too..... I am well... working at remodeling my aunts home and have it about finished.... I 'think' of doing some genealogy and then say ...naw... not yet... however I do have some great pix to upload when I remember how to do it!<LOL> FYI... photos of people that worked at the Shirt Factory in Dickson in 1940...it will take some time to photograph the photos and do the HTML(I am more than rusty) and then to remember how to put them on TnDickson..but if I can get the ball rolling I will be like an old fire horse... and I know Mollie can use the help...... Time to work...thanks again for asking Joyce... it was very sweet of you... I do appreciate it!
