Will, What can you tell me about this Mary Williams? Parents names? I have a partial list of children from the above family, could you provide a full list with dob's, marrianges, etc.? Thanks Tom

    3. I don't have a whole lot as yet. Mary Williams was the daughter of William Williams and Judith, some say BAKER. I do NOT know if he is the same Capt. William Williams from Edgecombe County, South Carolina, who served in the North Carolina Continental Line as a Captain. My William Rice was on the 1814 White County, TN taxlist in "Capt. William Williams Company" so he is possibly the same William Williams who had a lot of land in Warren County too! Henry Burton was born 1781 possibly in Maryland, and apparently helped establish the town of Liberty with Adam Dale, or so I'm told. He had several children, and I'm at a loss to identify any of them at the moment except for Nancy born 1814. If Mitch Jones is on this list, he could probably tell you more than I can right now. For the most part I don't know anything about the people mentioned in the above post--WILLIAMS, BAKER, RICE--- but I'm intrigued about the BURTON and DALE mentioned. I have a Samuel M. BURTON b 1805 in DE who married Elizabeth DALE b 1799 in DE whose daughter was my great grandmother, Mary Catharine BURTON b 1836, who married James PARKER in 1852 in DeKalb Co., TN. Do you think these can be connected with the ones mentioned in the post? Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks. Jan [email protected]

    3. Henry and Samuel are apparently connected in some way! What is even more interesting, and I hope you'll check Delaware records on this, Adam Dale proved the will of William Rice 1816 in Claiborne county, TN. My William B. Rice was in Capt. William Williams' Company on the 1814 White County, TN taxlist, and Dale also was a witness to the will of William Williams, who I think died sometime prior to 1820. I am wondering if you have seen any RICE's listed in the same area that your Dales and Burtons were in back in Delaware? Henry Burton's father was supposedly an Isaac or John Isaac Burton and his mother a "Delila" or "Dellia". There was also a Charles Burton in that same area who was born 1782, and may have been Henry's brother. An Ann Moor also proved William Rice's will, and I know that in Maury County, where old Adam Dale removed to after leaving Liberty, and before he settled finally in North Alabama, some of his children married into the MOORE family.
