Laura Are you aware that Nicholas Fisher had a daughter, Anice. I feel that she would probably be too old to be your Annis. She had a sister in the Smith Co. area. Bob I'm having a difficult time tracing a Fisher ancestor. Annie/Annis Fisher m. Jesse Bruton in 1819 in the DeKalb/Smith county area. I have no information on her parents. Possibly the name of their children would help: Rebecca, Nancy, Amanda, James Harvey, Horatio Wayne, Enoch, Rivers Risdon(or Risdon Rivers), Fisher Livingston, Hazelwood Smith, Cantrell Bethel, Annette Minerva and Thomas Hart Benton. The first 5 or 6 were born in DeKalb/Smith area. The remaining in the Springfield, MO area. Any info on Fishers in the DeKalb/Smith area at that time would be appreciated.
