I am still looking for information on the family of Dr Pembroke C. Shields,Sr in Dekalb County,Tn. He was born Sept 29, 1832 and died Sept 30, 1872 in Dekalb County,Tn, He married Rosanna Elizabeth Fields abt 1851. They had nine children. I am looking for information on some of his children, they must have left Dekalb County,Tn and I am not having any luck finding them. William A Shields Born 1852 in Indiana I don't have any information on him. Thomas Wilson Shields, born July 21, 1854 in Indiana, he died Aug 4, 1897 in Dekalb County,Tn. He married Susan Eliza Kidwell. Elisha E Shields, born 1856 in Indiana, he married Cora Allen Dec 24, 1876 in Dekalb County,Tn. Mary E Shields, born 1858, she died young. Lucey E Shields, born 1860 in Tn, she died July 8 1911. She married Henry C Martin from Van Buren County,Tn. Margaret Matilda Shields, born Oct 17, 1864 in Dekalb County,Tn and died Feb 7, 1901in Dekalb County,Tn, She married james Wiley Eaton in Dekalb County,Tn April 6, 1890. Laura J Belle Shields, born June 22, 1868 in Dekalb County,Tn and died March 19, 1890 in Dekalb County,Tn.she married J P Phillips. John W. Shields, born 1870 in Dekalb County,Tn Pembroke Columbus Shields, Jr, born March 16, 1872 in Dekalb County, Tn and died may 12, 1947 in Nashville,Tn. He married Leila Phillips Oct 31, 1893 in Putnam County, Tn. I believe the reason the first 3 children were born in Indiana was because Pembroke C Shields,Sr went there for his medical training.
