Gerelene, the Smith DNA testing I did cost me $171.00 for the 25 marker test, but some DNA projects sometimes have reduced rates. The 12 marker test is less expensive, but it's always better to take the extended 25 marker test. Check with http://www.familytreeDNA.com to see if someone is testing for your surname. They will have the cost for the testing posted, or should have anyway...
