I am looking for any solid information on Samuel Vance of Cannon, b abt 1814, d in Cannon County Tenn abt 1860. Sheriff of Cannon County from 1844 to 1846. His second wife was Sarah Elledge. I am looking for his first wife's name and his parents. I have seen some info that he was the son of Thomas Vance and Katherine Richards but that comes with no documentation.
