    3. Ann, I would like to make a correction to your Griffith line. Elizabeth Griffith, wife of Jonathan, was not the daughter of William and Lucretia Williams. William and Lucretia had a daughter, Betsy, who was married to Matthew GRIFFIN. My daughter-in-law is a descendant of William and Lucretia Williams; I am a descendant of Jonathan and Elizabeth Griffith. It can be proven by the estate records of William Williams Sr. and his children, deeds, court records, etc. that Betsy Griffin and Elizabeth Griffith are two separate people. Betsy (dau of Wm.Williams) Griffin was dead before 1847; Elizabeth Griffith died in 1854. I will be happy to share this info.
