    3. Hello I am interested in contacting anyone who is researching the Capshaw, Dunham, Fisher, Lawrence, Payne & Pitman/Pittman/Pitmon families who lived in Dekalb Co. TN. I believe that some of these lines may have married into the Pittman family. Also I'm interested in exchanging info with any Descendents of Daniel and Comfort Pittman. My line is thru David and Mary Adcock Pittman which were in Dekalb Co. TN. If you are researching any of these surnames in the Dekalb Co. area esp. in District 6 you may want to look over the page at the following url. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~rmbeckman/pittmandescend.html Thanks Marie Beckman _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 3. I'm descended from old John Fisher Sr. who married a Tramel in Warren County in 1825, through his grandson John Fisher III who married Alcey Reynolds. Now, the Reynolds family is descended maternally from the Gay family, which in turn is related to the Lawrence family back in Isle of Wright County, Virginia, or so I'm told! About Pittmans. What ever happened to the Thomas Pittman family who were in Cannon County in the 1850's? I heard they moved to Texas. Thomas Pittman Jr. married Martha G. LaFevers in Cannon County in 1852. I'm looking for info on the parents of Robert Samuel LaFever, William J. LaFever and Martha G. Lafever, whom I'm told were Moses Robert (or Robert Moses) LaFever and Elizabeth James, daughter of William James and Clarissa Smith who came from Pitt County, North Carolina to Cannon County. Could this Moses LaFever be another son of Andrew and Nancy Ard LaFever?????? He died before 1850, and William, Robert, and Martha lived with Clarrissa (Smith) James until her death just before 1860. Hope you can help fill in the blanks. I'd thought that these were Zachariah LaFever's kids, but obviously I'm mistaken. Now I've got another LaFever who is obviously related to my bunch, since ol' Moses was ALSO a potter like Andrew!
