Can anyone tell me anything about a John J. White. He was a witness for John Davis in 1878 in regards to a civil war claim. I can place everyone else but him. During the civil war, he lived about 2 1/2 miles from John Davis Jr. (s/o John Davis Sr. and Abigail Duncan). The other witnesses were William Davis (s/o John Jr), Reuben P. Davis (s/o Solomon Davis), S. P. W. Maxwell (father of Amanda Maxwell Davis, widow of Doctor Albert Davis - s/o John Davis Jr). -------- *These statements will be going on my new Davis pages.
