Ann, Thanks for your information on the Curtis family. I have been comparing your information on David Curtis with that from Ernest Howell who is a descendent of David. Ernest says that David left DK CO and spent the remainder of his life in KY. He married Martha Susan Hughes in 1860. You have David's wife as Nancy J. Johnson and say that David continued to live in DK CO. I have explored the David and Nancy Curtis listed in District 12 DK 1880 Census (your David). According to my records if David was 12 in 1850, he was probably b. abt. 1838. The David in the 1880 Census listed at 27 was probably b. abt. 1853. HELP!!! Etta
ETTA, After receiving some other information, I now know that David Curtis who married Nancy Jane Johnson is a DIFFERNET David and is the s/o William C. Curtis and Elizabeth Tune. It is by working together, and comparing all our records, that we're getting to the truth! Thanks for everyone's help! *Now does anyone have any information on Lewis Y. Davis or Joseph Davis - sons of John Davis Sr. and Abigial Duncan? The Oct 23, 1889 issue of Liberty Herald says: "Uncle Lewis Y. Davis of Cottage Home was here Friday on his return home from a visit in Nashville. " **Where is Cottage Home? For Joseph Davis descendants, I'm looking for any information on descendants of these marriages: --John Davis and Tabitha Hill who married March 24, 1854 DeKalb Co., TN --James Davis and Louisa White who married Sept 20, 1857 DeKalb Co., TN ---Moses Davis and Susan Litton who married Dec 28, 1865 Thanks for any help on the above!
