I agree absolutely! As one who has transcribed marriage records from microfilm, I have found lots of additional information. Certainly not for every marriage recorded but plenty and a variety too. Independence CO AR marriage books E, F, G, and H, also have such items as where the groom was from if not from Indep CO, or where the birde was from. Sometimes it would say at the residence of the bride's or groom's parents. Nice little clue there. Ages are given. Sometimes it would say who's house the wedding took place. If a bond was required, gave the other persons name (often a relative). A person of color was recorded as such. Sometimes a different State was named as a birthplace or residence. Sometimes an exact age is given like 14 yr 5 months. So the original record could hold clues and some wonderful information. And then sometimes they don't. Rebecca
