Thomas' father, George Smith may have been the George Smith who sent a protest when Matilda's father, John W. Puckett applied for a War of 1776 pension; he was granted the pension. Penny, What are the details on the protest to John W.Puckett's Rev. War pension file, by George Smith? I'm wondering if the two men may have known each other prior to coming to Tennessee...I do not have anything on the Smith's beyond George and Silvey.
