    3. Max, The Clear Fork School has been torn down now. I did the cemetery book on Clinton County, Kentucky and got a chance to read all of the old newspapers. I saw where your Dad sold houses down on Clear Fork. Many residents here still remember your family. L. P. Puckett was just a name I ran across as I read the old Carthage newspapers. I was curious as to his relation to you. Lincoln County sure turned out a lot of Confederate soldiers. I will suppose he was also one of those. I live on Nolan Street in Dr. Hayes old house. That is on the street with the water tank on the north side of town. My wife has retired from teaching, but I still teach reading to the special education students at our elementary school. I write the books as a sideline. Do you still live in Alexandria? I told a friend of mine he might look you up when he's in Washington. Colonel Ron Cyrus recently retired and returned to live at Alpine. He entered the service in 1968 so he had a number of years in the Army. He came up through the ranks. Right now he is trying to decide what to do with the rest of his life. He is only 53 years old. Take care my friend. Gary D.
