Obit posted on the WJLE website on Monday 27 September 2004. Bob Trapp Bass Five month old LaVar Kinte Bass II of Smithville died Saturday of a sudden illness at DeKalb Hospital. The funeral will be Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. He is survived by his mother, Ginger Trapp of Smithville; his father, LaVar Kinte Bass of Smithville; brothers and sisters, Aaliyah and Elijah Bass. Ladaishia Trapp, Carrigan and Rheagan Chapman, and Laquarious Trapp; maternal grandparents, Charlotte Trapp of Smithville and Barry Trapp of Smithville; paternal grandparents, Sandra Bass of Alexandria and Lewis Bass of Watertown; maternal great grandparents, Tommy and Dorothy George of Smithville and Brenda Trapp of Dowelltown; paternal great-grandmothers, Dorothy Tubbs of Alexandria and Mary Mason of Indiana. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
