Names researching: BILLINGS, STEWART,PARKER,FRISBY,STEELE BILLINGS: Peter, Sr>Peter, Jr>Wm R., George Washington & Isaac Newton and on down STEWART: William Carroll Stewart-born Smith County around 1830 (1850 census in Smith Co has name spelled Steward) PARKER: Mary Jane, married Wm C Stewart and lived in Smith County most of her life. Believed to be Mary Jane Stewart buried at New Macedonia Church cemetery in Smith County (b. Jul 3, 1839, d. Apr 4, 1911). Age would fit wife on census. There is W.C. Stewart buried at Peeled Chestnut 1828-1904, whose age would be close to Smith Co census showing W.C. as 20 in 1850. My mother said her grandma lived with them (in either White or DeKalb Co) when she was little (she was born 1908). FRISBY: My grandmother on my dad's side was Alice Frisby (born Jul 3, 1859, Sparta, TN, died Aug 6, 1938, NE). Her death certificate lists parents as Wm. and Angeline Baker Frisby. However, I have been told that she was perhaps a niece who was illegitimate whose mother died in childbirth and she was raised by the Frisbys with their daughter Sally, who was apparently about the same age. My great grandmother on my Mom's side (Isaac Newton's wife) was Mary Jane Steele. I have quite a bit of Steele information if anyone is researching would be happy to share.
