My brick wall is Samp B. Harriman, b. 1/10/1856, d. 7/15/1912, found in the 1880 DeKalb County Census book. A Sterling B. Harimon married Margret J. Haile in DeKalb County September 11, 1873 and they are my husband's great grandparents. They are buried in the Mount Moriah Baptist church Cemetery (page 209 in the cemetery book). I believe they changed the spelling of the last name since I can find several Harrimon's, Harmon's, Herrimon's etc. His children appear to be the first ones using Herman as their last name. One of their sons, Sprial Wade Herman ran a store on Pea Ridge at one time. I would appreciate any information on this family especially, Samp B. Harriman's parents and where they came from. Also, any information on the Cook, Ashford and Bogle families in DeKalb County would be welcome. Thanks, Bryna Ashford
