Thank you!! My Uncle Henry B. Joines died in the battle of Bougainville on Nov. 21, 1943. Our family has his purple heart. He was a Marine. This past Memorial Day, I found his grave in the Manila American Cemetery. His parents were Charlie Joines and Mattie Lee Mathis Joines. He was born in Dekalb, as were all his brothers and sisters.
