    1. Re: [TNDEKALB] DeKalb Marriage Records
    2. I have been trying to find the marriage record of my great grandparents. Their names are: William Thomas Ray and Samantha Pack. They both lived in the Belk area of DeKalb County. I have looked in DeKalb County, Warren and White Counties. They probably married about 1878. Has anyone come across this marriage? Ruby

    3. Tennessee State Library and Archives has death certificates from 1908-1953. If you don't already have one on Ezekiel O. Underhill 4-12-1848 -- 3-15-1934. You might want to contact them and see about ordering one. I do specific document retrieval and could get you one for $5 if you are interested. Also, If you have an exact death date on George Underhill, I could look up an obituary on him ($8). This is just something I do once a week. If I can help you at all, let me know. 1. Driver and Roberts lines if you have them can we talk?
    2. Kris Wheeler-Dabbs
    3. Talk about family intermarriages and confusing lines.. A sister became a step-mother in-law I think I've gotten my Driver mystery figured out and not working further backwards on the Driverline as they married into my Roberts line, using census records and marriage records.. came accross quite the revelations.. Here's my logic so bear with me.. now: Here are the players in the Story: Sarah, Diannah and Amanda Roberts are all sisters (daughters of Matlock Roberts) Thomas Driver is John Driver's father. I've found a Thomas Driver with Malinda on the 1850 Census, I believe this is the father of John Driver as the family matches with dates, names etc. This is the John Driver who married Diannah first then Amanda. There is no daughter Sarah listed in the 1850 Census, she shows up for the first time in the 1860 census in the Driver household. She was 22 in 1860. I've found a marriage record for Sarah Roberts to Thomas Driver for 22 dec 1857. We then have a Sarah Driver marrying Tilmon Jones. 24 May 1885. Tilmon Jones was the executor of Matlock's estate and Matlock has a daughter listed as Sarah Jones. I believe this Sarah is the sister of Diannah and Amanda Sarah is not John's mother but his step-mother (just thought I'd clear that up) So by the looks of it Sarah's stepson John married her sisters.. Mailing of the requests for the marriage license but I've double checked names and dates. so if any of you have this in your tree I'd love to talk to you.. or other insites.. For right now don't want to go further back on the Driver tree cause I'm confused.

    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. I now have a new page up for the descendants of Hugh Page and Jemima Atnip. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/page.html I'm especially looking for pictures of any of their children, spouses, or Hugh and Jemima's grandchildren. Also looking for tombstone pictures. Thanks in advance! In the future, I'll be making pages for each of Hugh's children and hopefully one for his parents, Barnabas Page and Mary Allen. Eric, Do you know of any links where a person can find out about Confederate POW's who died at Camp Chase? There's a fellow up here in DeKalb county who's trying to find his gg grandfather. I told him I'd check and see if you folks might know of a website he can go to. 2. In 1855 The Old 16th District was added to DeKalb Co., TN. It had been in Putnam Co., TN for one year and prior to that had been in Smith Co., TN. The Old 16th District, Wolf Creek area, is where George Smith, father of Thomas Jefferson Smith, lived. George's land bordered the Jackson/Smith County line.
