One of my Fishers married a Deadman, but don't recall which one. He was a prominent Judge in Smith County and I think also served in the State Legislature, and he lived in Carthage. Also, the old Manchester TN funeral home here in Coffee County was called "Deadman Funeral Home", and it was listed in Ripley's "Believe It or Not"..lol. It was more recently operated by Frank and Tommy Deadman, but it has been sold and is now simply "Manchester Funeral Home". Ann, I was in Florida when you sent this e-mail and couldn't read any follow-ups to your question about Alexander Miller. I would be interested in what you have discovered. My gggrandmother 'Reney' died in 1904 and she was living in the household of her son Alexander, so Alexander Miller died sometime before. Eager to hear from you. Good morning, The Middle Tennessee Genealogical Society will hold its next meeting on Sturday, September 18, 2004, at the Edmondson Pike Branch of the Nashville Public Library at 1 p.m. Elizabeth Queener will speak on "Friersons Rediscovered & Reunited: Black & White" -- The remarkable story of how the descendants of Dr. Thomas James Frierson and his 97 slaves of Maury County were reunited in their common heritage and reaffirmed in their hopes for tomorrow at a gathering at the old plantation home and slave gravesites. Mrs. Queener, a Frierson descendant, often lectures on the antebellum era and genealogy. Please join us! Katheryne Cowan MTGS Webmaster

Sorry, Ladye Jane. Don't have a clue where the name Parker came from. Haven't found it in older generations as yet. Edwin had a nephew with same middle name. Could possibly be a family name, but haven't proved that. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ladye Jane Hunter" <ladyejane@InfoAve.Net> To: <TNDEKALB-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, September 02, 2004 7:01 PM Subject: Re: [TNDEKALB] Please...1910 Census Lookup > Linda, > > Do you know where or actually from whom Edwin Parker Reeder got his middle > name? > > Ladye Jane >
