Sally Foutch was married to Henry Dedmon the brother of my grandmother Cora Mai Dedman . I will see if my son can put the picture on the site for me. The lady Gladys Dedmon Robinson that i mention in the other letter is the only child of Henry and Sally. Sally burn up in a fire in Jan of 1912 i think . Henry then took Gladys and she and him lived with Patterson and Elizabeth her grandparents. I also have a picture that i copied from Gladys of the Foutch family and she didnt really know who all was in it. She died a few weeks ago at age of 96. Mary Nell and Charles, Thanks for the DEDMON (Deadman) replies. My grandparents were Edna FOUTCH and Ira B. COWAN. Edna FOUTCH was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson FOUTCH and Catherine CORLEY. Catherine 1st married Buck JACKSON and I find her named in the DeKalb Co. Adminstrator's Settlements pg. 33-36 25 Feb 1888, Jackson MALONE, adminstrator of William CHRISTIAN (her grandfather). Her mother was Sarah CHRISTIAN CORLEY. Catherine CORLEY's aunt was Harriett CHRISTIAN MALONE, wife of Jackson MALONE. Harriett and Jackson were the parents of Dr. Sydney Staton MALONE who was later murdered by Catherine's brother-in-law for rape or attempted rape of Lon FOUTCH's sister. Most of you have probably read the Foutch-Malone Feud at www.tngenweb.org/dekalb . Thomas Jefferson FOUTCH was the son of Martin B. FOUTCH and Mary Jane DEDMON. Another son was James Monroe FOUTCH b. 1854 in DeKalb Co. TN. He m. Mary UNKNOWN and their children were: Mark FOUTCH m. Bird UNKNOWN and Sally FOUTCH m. Unknown DEDMON. I've done much more research on my COWAN's than the FOUTCH or DEDMON side, so I'm not sure about the given names you mentioned. I'm eager to see the school photo posted. I have a Martin Foutch married to Mary Malone. Their son is James 'Jimmie' Wiley Foutch and his son is William 'Willie' H. Foutch. Brenda, I will research the Deadman that you told me later. My daddys frist cousin (Gladys Dedman Robinson had a uncle Mark Foutch. I think his dad was Martin. I have a old school with lots of kids in front of it and my daddy and i tried a long time to fine out who was in it. It was given to me from a Dedmon cousin one time as it had my grandmother Cora Mai Parkerson Hickman tn on it. Gladys told us that she thought one of the girls was Lena Foutch. I just havent had the time to do it now. It was said to be the school of Walkers Creek. i sure wish i could fine someone else that has the same pictutre. I would also be interested in the descendents of this family. I am not directly kin but my ggrandmother was taken in by a Hendrixson family when her mother died when she was twelve. There were many Hendrixson families in district 10, Indian Creek and many Page / Hendrixson marriages. My ggrandparents lived in Spencer Hollow along with other Hendrixson families. When they left Dekalb co in 1908 for Warren Co, they sold the farm to a hendrixson family.
