    2. Tommy Webb, the Dekalb County, TN Historian should be able to help you with the Adcock cemetaries. He can be reached through the Justin Potter Library in Smithville. My grandparents, the Walkers, are buried at the Adcock Cemetary off of Hwy. 70 & coming from Center Hill Lake, you would turn left onto Adcock Cemetary Rd. & follow the curve into the cemetary on your left. There are many old pieces of flint rock from years ago that were used for grave markers. A Mrs. Petty is the caretaker of that cemetary. If you need more information on this, I can get the phone number or address of Mrs. Petty from another relative whose parents are buried there. Good Luck. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg//QeB.2ACE/299.1 Message Board Post: I have information on Mansfield "Manson" B. Scott (b) Oct 24, 1833. I have his parents as John B. Scott & Phoebe Ann Bennett. I don't have any dates or any other information on Manson's parents. Manson married Nancy Jane Sandlin, daug. of Fuller Sandlin & Margaret "Peggy" (Vanatta) Sandlin. I have that Manson died, April 15, 1913. Have children of Nancy & Manson if interested. Don't know if Phoebe's Bennett name was a maiden name or other married name, but that is what I have. Could also be very wrong, and I have not really researched this line. My Sandlin line comes from Nancy Jane's sister, Sarah C. Sandlin who married James Wesley Crook.

    1. HILL, FOUTCH, WAUFORD, MALONE, WHITE
    2. Margaret HILL is listed on the 1840 DeKalb Co. Census, age 40-50 making her born 1791-1800. She has a male living with her, age 5-10; a female, 5-10; and 2 females, age 10-15. Some of her neighbors were William [Dement] FOUCH, Benj. WAFFORD Jr. & Sr, Issac WAFFORD, David WAFFORD and Yancy MALONE. That would put her living near the Smith Co. line. These girls were probably her daughters: Nancy P. HILL, b. abt 1823 in GA., married Jason C. WHITE about 1837. Elvira HILL, b. abt 1827 in GA., married Allen T. FOUTCH abt. 1842/1843. Drusiller HILL, b. 1829 in GA., married Braxton MALONE abt. 1846. Margaret D. HILL, b. abt 1832 in TN, married James McCormick WAUFORD, 1849. Who was the father of these HILL girls? Thanks! Velma
