Hello I am interested in contacting anyone who is researching the Capshaw, Dunham, Fisher, Lawrence, Payne & Pitman/Pittman/Pitmon families who lived in Dekalb Co. TN. I believe that some of these lines may have married into the Pittman family. Also I'm interested in exchanging info with any Descendents of Daniel and Comfort Pittman. My line is thru David and Mary Adcock Pittman which were in Dekalb Co. TN. If you are researching any of these surnames in the Dekalb Co. area esp. in District 6 you may want to look over the page at the following url. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~rmbeckman/pittmandescend.html Thanks Marie Beckman _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I agree, Our DA here CAN be charged with misprison of felony and removed from office if enough people push it. When the DA refuses to enforce state law, its time for him to be thrown out on his tail. I don't like to make a suggestion when I can't actively get involved (way out here in California with no way to get back to Tennessee any time soon), but seems to me what's needed is some kind of media event to wake people up (especially District Attorneys) to the seriousness of the CRIME of refusing access, and bulldozing cemeteries. Can you imagine hundreds of people picketing the Coffee County DA, or at the gate of someone who's destroyed a cemetery, on national news? There are MILLIONS of Americans now passionately interested in genealogy, and especially, in our cemeteries. We've got power, we need to start exercising it.
What is the name of the cemetery? My family also came from White County. Will --- Bounty <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Will, > > Thanks for the information. Sorry to butt in on this, but would you mind doing a look-up for me too? If so, I understand, but if you don't mind, I'm looking for any CANDLERS (maybe CHandler). Specifically John and/or Martha Candler. Any Candlers would be nice.
