    1. [TNDEKALB] Alexander Petty and Charlotte Gothard
    2. I was going through some old boxes over the weekend and found the Bible of Alexander Petty and Charlotte Gothard. I have no idea how my family came into possession of this Bible. Since this is not my direct line, I would be happy for a descendent to have it - just let me know how you descend and how to get it to you. Below is the information contained in the Bible. One question - does anyone know the parents of the Deborah Robinson mentioned below? Athol - you are welcome to add this to the DeKalb Genweb Bible pages - the Bible is presently in my possession. 1. [TNDEKALB] Deed, etc
    2. Anyone using Partlows Books of Deeds, etc for Cannon, DeKalb, Smith and Wilson Counties should be aware that he did a very incomplete job of abstracting. He never lists witnesses to deeds. He leaves out family information inside deeds etc. On one Smith Co., TN deed there is over ten pages of names and he does not list the first name. Check the microfilm copy of deed if your ancestor mentioned D, Mitchell Jones http://www.dmitchelljones.org

    1. [TNDEKALB] Pisgah Cemetery - Davis Photos
    2. Ann (Jobe) Brown
    3. I just added 4 'new' tombstone pictures of my direct ancestors to my DeKalb Co., TN cemetery page. They are of: 1) Solomon Davis 2) Anna (Kelley) Davis 3) Thomas Jasper (T.J.) Davis 4) Delia (Laurance) Davis with 2 daughters http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/tn/dekalb.html In the next few days, I'll be adding several more pics and updates to my Davis site. I was just recently sent a picture of Thomas Jasper Davis and Delia Laurance/Lawrence which I'll be posting shortly to the Thomas Jasper Davis page on the Davis site. I've also just recently received several for the Nancy (Davis) Priday family and will be making a page for her also - link will be from the Solomon Davis page. She was his daughter (by his 1st wife, Sarah L. Pistole) that married Thomas S. Priday, Jr. in 1848 in DeKalb Co., TN and went to Missouri in mid 1850's. I've also just received tombstone pics of Robert Davis and Cora Handy (Page), my great grandparents, which I'll be posting on the Robert Davis page. They are buried in Navarro Co., Texas but both were born in the DeKalb Co., TN area and were married there. They have an infant son buried at Pisgah. I also have 3 gedcoms posted with DeKalb Co., TN families (all in file are related to me) These links can be found from http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/tn/links_dekalb.html and 3 surname specific sites for this area (Davis and Atnip and Mears) http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/davis.html http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/atnip.html http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/mears.html Ann (Jobe) Brown

    3. Dear List Members, With so many of you changing e-mail address I figured it was time to send instructions as to how to remove yourself from one address and then subscribe again with the new one.
