That explains why they listed Jacob and Jennie's burial place as "Plunkett". That graveyard is close by the Winchester Cemetery. They're actually buried in the W.V. Winchester cem. Two of the Presley's in this family married Winchesters. Hunt JP I could not find any Mack's listed in the marriage books I am wondering if the Josephine Williams born about 1865 in the household of John Williams and Martha A. Simpson in DeKalb County is the "Jennie" MACK who married Jake Presley? Is there a marriage in DeKalb for a Mr. Mack to a Josephine Williams circa 1884-1891? Are any of you researching the Williams and Simpson families living near Temperance Hall? If so, I would like to hear from you. I was wondering about that....I have Andrew's paents as Valentine Presley and Sarah Morton. They left Tennessee and moved up to Clay County, Illinois and are buried up there. Valentine was on the 1840 Smith County census if I recall. Do you have any info on who Judah Hayes's parents may have been? This Jennie "MACK" who married Jacob B. Presley is a mystery also. Her death record gives a maiden name of "Williams" and her mother as "Martha Williams". They're buried in Putnam County in the William V. Winchester cemetery on Happy Hollow Road. I assume this was formerly the "Plunkett" Cemetery, as that is the cem. name given on Jennie's death record. Thanks Tom.. That clears that up. Josephine is NOT obviously Jennie Williams Mack - Presley. I found her in William V. Winchester Cem. in Putnam County, born 13 October 1866 died 24 Feb 1945 in Putnam County. Jake died 19 Jan 1950. So I am still attempting to identify Jennie's family. Presumably, she was a WILLIAMS, according to her death record and mother's name was Martha. she married Jacob Presley 20 June 1891 in DeKalb County. Hope someone can help me figure out where she belongs.
