    3. Hello! I recently joined this mail group, and I am posting my Decatur County lines. I don't know very much about them yet, but here goes! I am researching UPTON S. OAKLEY. He was married to MARIA DODSON on December 5, 1835 in Maury County. Upton S. (b. NC) and Mariah (b. TN) had the following children that I know of: Feilden D., N. Jane, D. Cordelia, William L., Mary Melvina, Frances A. R., Charles P., and Thomas W. I find Upton in the 1870 Decatur Co. census with a Luisa and the 3 youngest children. I am assuming Luisa is Upton's second wife. Feilden and William each lived next door with their wives. Feilden D. married Sarah Cook?. They had a daughter named Dorah that was living with her aunt and uncle Charles and Mary O. Bingham in 1880. Feilden and Sarah Oakley probably died between 1870 and 1880. Jane married a Turnbo and had 3 children, at least one of whom eventually moved to Hardin County. I am descended from William, who married Mary Ann Keeton?. I previously thought Mary was a Smith, but I am now following a possible Keeton line. They were living in Decatur Co. in 1870, Wayne Co in 1880, and on to Hardin County by 1890, where my family now lives (just across the river from Decatur County.) Either Mary or Frances married Charles Bingham, and had at least 3 children. (I have had different people tell me both Mary and Frances.) Charles P. and Thomas W. eventually moved to Texas and then to Oklahoma. Any information on Upton S. Oakley and his wife/wives, children, and any other relatives would be appreciated! I think I sent this message before to the list owner instead of the entire list. Thanks, Kendra Oakley
