    3. Hi Gaylon, I feel sure the men are all brothers but what do you know about a Doherty connection? When Dutton Hill and Jane Doherty sold that piece of land in 1869 he said they had a good right to sell it. I'd like to know where they got it and how? Did they inherit it? I never could find a Jane Doherty in the census records, perhaps she was in the 1870 census. I thought she might have been in Henderson County but the deed says they were both of Decatur Co. It gets very complicated!!
