Davis and wife Clarisa cannot be the parents of this Jane Davis. Their son John William was a son-in-law to her. John B. Davis was the son of David Davis and Jane Montgomery Davis. David and his wife Jane do have a daughter Jane, but we thought her name was Mary Jane and that she married a Martin Benton. Perhaps she married the Hendrix 2nd in which case John William married his 1st cousin Margaret - happened all the time! I';ll let you know if I find any additional!
