My great aunt Nancy "Nannie" Allen was born in Madison County, TN in 1859 and died in Decatur Co., TN in 1912. In 1891 she married Mitchell Roger "Mitch" Gibson in Decatur Co., who survived her and whose burial place I also do not know. Since my family is one of those with the "tradition" of using fieldstones as headstones (a tradition of "can't afford it right now, but will get around to it if I ever get the money"), I have been unable to find her burial place The Nannie A. Gibson in the Gibson cemetery with no headstone appears to have come later than my Nannie Allen Gibson. I wonder if anyone is familiar with the person buried there and can confirm the information on the cemetery site as it relates to this particular grave. --Jerry Allen
