I would love to know more about this family. My GG grand father, Harvy McMackin was living with a Brown family in 1850 Decatur County, Tennessee and his brother was living with another. harvey and jasper's father was Thomas Jefferson McMackin. He was listed on early tax records.Any help woukld be greatly appreciated. I know very little about this family. There was a tiny notice in the Nashville Whig indicating that he died there, but a land sale in June 1847 calls him "of Decatur Co." and the 1850 census shows his widow, with one daughter still 'at home' and 2 married children in Decatur Co.--Dist. 2, and another in Dist. 4.
