Malissa was 17 years old so that would give her a birthdate of about 1833. She and the other two children were born in Tennessee. Distant relatives told me that J.R. had a brother Riley, just haven't been to locate him. I only found J.R. (James R.) KELLEY last week in Missouri (1860) with his family. (If you were listening, you might have heard my shout of joy!!!) It's possible J.R. had another older brother, I just don't know. I have found Joseph KELLEY in Decatur Co in the following years: 1880 (79 years old) born SC; 1870 (78 yr) NC; and 1850 (49 yr) SC. I know the 1870 Joseph KELLEY is mine because of the grandchildren living with him, and I'm sure the 1850 Joseph is also mine. I'm not sure if the 1880 Joseph is mine or not since the children are out of the house and I've only located one of them so far. Do you have any RUSHINGs in your family tree??? Thanks for your reply and I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Chris P.S. Do you know anything about Jenny Tonks Italian Research class? I was curious why it kept coming up when I tried to email you -- finally decided just to ignore it & send the email.
