Renea, I don't think so. The census for 1900 indicates Mary Jane Gibson's birth date was November, 1853. The 1880 census also supports this birth year. Also, I have Newt and Mary Jane's wedding license, and she did not need her parents' permission to marry. That's why I'm pretty convinced that I'm on the right track -- at least with her birth date!
