He was born 1873 in Tn according to 1910 Madison Co census. He married Mary Elizabeth Goodman in Decaturville Aug 20 1903. They had children Mergia,Delia and James. Mergia and Delia were born in Decaturville and James in or near Jackson. Found them in 1910 Madison Co census. Rice had a metal plate in his head that eventually killed him. I heard he was in a mental hospital before he died. I assume he died around Jackson TN and I'm not sure when. I know his wife remarried in 1912 in Memphis, but I also heard she took up with someone else before he died. He could have died in 1912. Rice use to work on the railroad in Jackson, I assume his wife and kids use to ride the train to Jackson for weekends before they moved there. Thanks for answering my posting.
