Hi Dale, I copied this article out of a book in Nashville while looking for my Hill family. The article is mainly about the Quinn's but I copied it for future reference. I will be glad to send you copy, sorry to say the bottom of the article is cut off. If you ever get a chance to go to Nashville it is in the Decatur Co. section. I will get it in the mail this week. Do you have info. about your Hill line? I've come to a dead end with mine. I know they came from S.C.
Hello, Does anyone have any information about Samuel Majors who was in Decatur Co. TN in the census there in 1880 with the following children:Jarah J., age 22 (f)James W., age 21,John T., age 16, Adley O., age 11 (m) and Francis M., age 7 James was my gg-grandfather who married Jenny Yarbro and had Anderson and Aaron Floyd. They changed their spelling to Magers. Samuel would have been born about 1821 somewhere in TN. (There is a Samuel H. Majors in Maury Co. TN in 1850 but I don't know if it's the same one.) I'm trying to find out who his parents were and where they were from. Any help would be appreciated.
