As to the school for which G. H. buck signed his name to a teaching contract, my best bet would be Shady Hill, or at least one of the nearby small schools which was later consolidated into Shady Hill. I do not know if there was a school at Mt. Gilead Church in the nineteenth century. If so, that be the best bet location. G. H. Buck is buried in the cemetery there about 2 miles south of Shady Hill.
