    3. Hi All, First, I wanted to thank you all for trying to help me solve my 1835 Perry Co, TN, land grant mystery involving Drury SAVAGE. Secondly, I think I've solved the mystery and made some breakthroughs partly because I discovered the 1820 & 1840 Perry Co, TN, census online. I didn't realize they were online and had searched for a link to them on the Perry Co, TN, website but did not find them. This is really a discovery for me because my lines were in Decatur Co in 1850 & 1860 so evidently, they probably lived in the part of Perry Co that later became Decatur Co. After viewing the census, I discovered that my Newton MAYO b abt 1805, was actually enumerated as Newton MAYS in 1830 & N G MAS in the 1840 census. So, if there are any MAYS researchers out there, it is possible that your line is connected to the MAYO line. Thirdly, I also discovered that my Drury SAVAGE b 1785, was most likely enumerated with his probable son, William SAVAGE, who is in the 1840 Perry Co, TN, census! I am so excited, I can't contain myself! :o) I just wanted you all to know about the census records in case you aren't aware of it!
