I have Allens that came out of North Carolina into Maury Co., TN in the early 1800's, and by the mid-1800's had taken root in Madison, Henderson and Perry Co.'s, and more recently into Decatur Co. I would appreciate hearing from anyone researching ALLEN and/or any of the associated families, such as Byrd, Steed, Gibson, Smith, Tracy, Daws, Odell/Odle, Ussery, Anderson and so forth.     3. Jerry - I don't have much, and don't know if the same Allens, however, my GGrandfather, Daniel Carey, b. 1808 in Orange Co., NC, married Sarah Howard Cannon, b. 1814 in NC. Her parents were William W. Cannon, d. 1838 in Henderson Co and Nancy Allen, b. between 1790 and 1800. Nancy Allen Cannon died in around1857 in Henderson Co., TN.
