Does anyone have any information on Jesse Garrett (born 1802 in NC, died 1880 in Perry County). Jesse and Frances Garrett (probably his mother, born 1768 in NC, died after 1850 in Perry County) were in Humphreys County prior to 1820 and appear in the 1820 and 1830 Humphreys County census. Jesse purchased land in Perry County in 1836. He and his first wife (name unknown) had a son, James Garrett, born in 1845 in Perry County. Jesse married Margaret Ann Dickson (1817-1864) in 1850 they had 3 children (Robert, 1851; Nancy, 1854; and Martha, 1856). James Garrett married Martha Ledbetter in 1866, they had 12 children.
