I have not followed Fishers particularly because my connection is Yarbro + Brown, but I have noted the name quite a bit. Closest I see in a quick look is James W. Fisher b. May 24, 1825 Perry Co.; d. in Lost Creek, Decatur. + Emaline Yarbro...etc. James was son of: Sylvanus Fisher b. 14 July 1795 ,Mecklenberg, NC d. 16 July 1834 ,Perry, TN + Nancy Yarbro b. 3 May 1799 ,Mecklenberg, SC d. 27 Jan 1876 ,Decatur, TN Old Mt. Any information at all would be very helpful.
Mary ____ ALLEN, b. TN abt. 1823, was the wife of Richard P. ALLEN. Mary Allen is last found in the 1870 Perry Co. census with husband Richard P. Mary passed away sometime between 1870 and 1880, as Richard P. is living in Decatur Co. with his daughter and son-in law in 1880. I assume that Mary died in Perry County and am seeking help in finding out what records I might access to find when she died exactly and where she might be buried. Nancy A. "Nannie" ALLEN, dau. of Richard P. and Mary ALLEN, was born in Madison Co., TN in 1859. On 27 Sep 1891 Nannie married Mitchell Roger "Mitch" GIBSON in Decatur Co., TN. I am seeking any and all information I can find on this couple. Mitch Gibson was the son of Amanda Tracy, daughter of Stephen "Wiltz" Tracy of Perry Co. I believe Tobias Gibson was Mitch Gibson's father. Avarilla J. "Rilla" ALLEN, dau. of Richard P. and Mary ALLEN, was born in Maury Co., TN in 1847. Rilla Allen married Robert SMITH in Perry Co. 6 Apr. 1873. In the 1880 census A.J. SMITH (age 26) is found enumerated in the household of J.R. SMITH (age 25) in Decatur Co. Also enumerated in the household are son, J.R. SMITH (age 3), father-in-law, R.P. ALLEN (age 61), and sister-in-law Nancy ALLEN (age 21). I am seeking any information I can find on Robert and Rilla Allen Smith as well.

Responding to your message board post regarding Thomas, John & Jane I am descending from John R. Thomas (July 24, 1786-July 15, 1860) & Jane Lacey (March 26, 1792-October 21, 1895) who migrated from NC to Henderson County, Tennessee. He is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Henderson County, TN. She is buried in Oak Grove, Cemetery, Henderson County, Tennessee. John R.'s father was John Thomas, a Revolutionary War soldier with Ensign 9th. NC during November of 1776. He had a brother James Thomas also in the Revolutionary War. John R. Thomas had brothers: Henry, William, & James. William migrated to Mississippi County, Arkansas.. No info on Henry or James. There were 2 sisters: Ruth married a Settlemore, and Rhoda married a Bradley. There may have been others I don't know about. I am descended through John R.'s son Stephen (12/13/1810-4/13/1872) and his wife, Anna Rhodes (9/25/1812-4/15/1872) Both are buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Henderson County, TN. Does any of this fit you? Nelle
