    3. Hi Clarence, I relate to the Dodd's in many ways but I have never worked their line. Let me ask a question, are there two Griffin Dodds? The Griffin Dodd that I have was born in Chatham Co NC about 1802 and married to Nancy. Many have her last name as Gilmore. He moved to Henderson County prior to 1830. His sister, Dicy Dodd, married my gggrandfather, Jeremiah Johnson. They had two children Nancy E and J.L Johnson. Dicy was present at he birth of my grandfather, William Campbell Johnson, on 7/26/1861. Jeremiah died before 1870 as Dicy is living with her brother and Nancy in Henderson County in 1870. I think I have more information but I would like to be sure we are talking about the same people. Everybody with the same name is confusing. Bill

It is a pretty good read, a lot of it I may add. Tommy http://www.tnyesterday.com/turner/gt-til.htm I agree - it's a pretty good read but it doesn't have the entire book. It doesn't include the genealogical charts and pictures. There are also some paragraphs on families at the end of the book that aren't included. There may be other things not included - I don't think the military lists are there either. Unfortunately it's not indexed or I'd offer to freely do look ups. It's kinda hit and miss. I've owned the book since it was released and just a couple of years ago found more family info since I'd last read the book carefully. Maureen Pierce

    2. Hello, My daughters are 3rd great-grandnieces of Permellia. I have her husband as William Ferguson. Since you are a direct descendant, I'm guessing your spelling, "Furgerson" is correct. I have no dates or details on Permellia or her family. Any help would be appreciated. Our Wyatt line comes down through William D., Permellia's brother. I'm finding it very difficult to find much info on the net about any of this family. Thanks so much for responding. Every little bit helps. Carlene Missouri Ozarks
