The woman's name was Mary Ann (Swafford) MOORE, born 1855, and thought to have died 1886-1887. Her two young sons were William O., born 1880, and Franklin L. born 1884. Family stories state that the two young boys each died from measles during the same time frame. It was thought that she and her youngsters were buried in Perryville, but that was hearsay. One other son, Charlie C. MOORE, born 1886, suffered from seizures, and it was thought he died young also. If possible, I would like to know when he died, and where he was buried. 2. Re: "Her name at the time of her death was Ila Mae Johnson.  Born in 1896 died 1956 in Decatur Co TN.  Buried in Liberty Cemetery. My mother's name is Flora Brasher Irvin.  Born 1915 Decatur Co. died 1986 Madison county TN." If you are saying that BRASHER was maiden name of FLORA BRASHER IRVIN, then I believe I found your grandmother on: 1920 Census TN, Decatur Co., District 1, recorded JANUARY 1920 May Brasher, 24, widow son Festus, 6 dau. Flora, 4 ?1/12 dau Louise, 2 6/12 If above is your family, then ASK SOMEONE ON THIS LIST TO CHECK in Marriages of Decatur Co. TN, Volumes 1 & 2 by Fred Alexander for: a BRASHER who married "May" or "Ille May" 1814 or before Son Festus was born around 1814, Ille May probably married shortly before 1814. You can write for your grandmother's death certificate. Death certificate of ILLA MAE JOHNSON may list her parents and maybe even the town and state were her parents were born. Information on ordering death certificates from Tennessee State Library and Archives. There is a $10 fee to copy a death record. The $10 fee is not refundable. Payment in advance by check,  money order or credit card. Send your request to Tennessee State Library and Archives, Research Department, 403 Seventh Avenue North, Nashville TN 37243-0312.  Website address for death records: http://www.state.tn.us/sos/statelib/pubsvs/mailstat.htm If you are near Nashville, you can also visit Tennessee State Library and look up death certificates yourself. Just a thought, maybe MR. BRASHER died in World War I. Mr. Brasher was deceased by 1920 census. Use birth of daughter Louise (b ca Jun/Jul 1917) to estimate a death range for Mr. Brasher. Louise 2 1/2 yrs in Jan. 1920 (census recording date) subtract 2 1/2 yrs from Jan. 1920 = ca Jun/Jul 1917. If Louise was full term baby, subtract 9 months from Jun/Jul 1917 to get estimate when she was conceived, which would then give you an approximate range for death of Mr. Brasher. FYI, World War I Ended With the Treaty of Versailles June 28, 1919 World War I (1914-1918) was finally over. Good luck.

Benjamin Morris was my great great great grandfather. My gg grandfather was William A (Angus?), Ben F's younger brother. My family stayed in Itawamba/Lee Counties in Mississippi. I would love to exchange info. Benjamin is as far back as I have, but if you're interested in some of your Mississippi cousins I could help there. Does anyone know where Benjamin is buried? I live in Henderson now and would love to drive over and try to find his grave. Thanks in advance for any help.
