Hi all, I'm descended from John Priar Hill who is listed as a Baptist preacher according to the 1850 Decatur Co. Census. John's daughter, Frances Ann Elizabeth Hill married James Johnson (son of Jeremiah Johnson) approximately 1848 in Decatur Co. Would love to hear from anyone researching these names. Hi, You're not butting in at all. I'd like to get this information straightened out. The marriage license/bond of D.G. LUNSFORD and Rebecca A. CONDER is in Decatur Co., and the bond for $1250 submitted by D.G. LUNSFORD and C. A. CAMPBELL and signed by both CAMPBELL and LUNSFORD. Then the marriage certificate is solemnized by D.D. MAYS (which is probably also a relative of my Louisa S. MAYS). By having a bond for Rebecca, doesn't that mean she was under a certain age? The more I work with my family in Decatur Co., I'm convinced that the entire area around Parsons eventually married one another so they were all related :-) Are you finding the same? Also, William Chesterfield LUNSFORD and Laura S. HILL were married in Decatur Co in 1902. After the 1900 census, I do not find my line of LUNSFORDs until 1920 where they are in Caddo Co., OK. My ggrandfather William Phil/Presley, the father of William Chesterfield, died in the Chickasaw Nation, OK near Roff, in 1903. I've been looking for proof of a connection for YEARS and would love to find it, but so far there is no proof of the 2 Carington families being relate! Ruth did not agree that we were related through the Carringtons . What you have to understand is that there was a kind of connection, but it was through Tom Carrington's mother in law, Mary Caroline Delaney. Ruth's grandmother was a Delaney also . They were cousins. In a broad sense the 2 families were related , but through the Delaneys. This is a collateral line for me, but I know we have some Rushing researchers and thought someone might be able to give me a parent's name. I have a John Pinkney Carrington born 1892 who married Carrie E. Rushing who was born 1900. They married in 1914 in Decatur Co. Carrie died in 1972 and John in 1989. Both are buried at the Hawkes Cemetery in Decatur Co. Renea, As per the outlines below, I have 2 sections on the BOX family. The first married a FRIZZELL, and the second married a DAVIS who descended on the Hendrix line. Does this help any? BTW, on Page 27 in her book on the Frizzell Family, Myra Frizzell has a picture of Janie Box Frizzell and John James Frizzell with four of their children; Leo, Roxie, Elco and Murzia. As Leo (John Leo) was still in dresses and was born in 1894, I imagine we can guess the picture was taken around 1896-97. Also, on Page 30, there is a picture of Janie and John and their family, taken in 1921, which includes the families of three married children (25 people in all).
