    3. 1.McCormick b. TN married lady born in NC 2. Samuel D. McCormick b.11/1845 mar. 1875, Leora LISTON b.1855. Both born Decatur Co. TN --9 children Rainey, Fonzy, Jennie, John Henry, Samuel R., Adley, Albert, Ollie, Bennett "Elwood" (Some b. Henry Co. & some Decatur) ---------Fonzy married Mary Ann ---------Samuel R. married Edith and in 1910 their second child was born. ----------------Samuel R's Mother, Father, and Young Bennett "Elwood" are listed as ----------------------living with them in 1910. ----------"Elwood" later married Elsie 3. John Henry McCormick (b. 7/21/1881, Decatur Co. TN, d.12/15/42) married 1906 Sallie (TAYLOR/Almo, Calloway Co. KY), lived in Puryear aprox 1906-1924. John Henry McCormick was a blacksmith and was supposed to be Mayor of Puryear. (possibly during the early twenties.) Lived on Water St. Anybody make any connections?

    3. I am looking for the descendants of Joseph Hopper b. 1800 in NC ??? Joseph and his first wife lived in Henderson Co but had a large family that I believe could have located a few in Decatur Co. They were the parents of Thomas b.1823, Eli S. 1825, John S. 1826, Charles 1828, David Crockett.1824, Nancy 1835 and Christopher 1838. By 1844, Joseph Hopper's 1st wife had died and he had married Sarah Blanton, a widow. To this union were born seven children: William, Winfield, Scott, Zachariah, Elizabeth Matilda (all born in Henderson County), Mary Emeline, Millard Filmore and Henry C( born after the move to Five Forks Hardin county TN. My ggGrandfather was Christopher b. in Tn in 1835, his wife Sarah b. in 1845 in TN. Christopher and his wife Sarah had five children...Anna J., Joseph Henry (my gGrandfather) Zachariah T., Scott, and Tillman.
