Marj, I don't know any more about Alonzo Hill than is in the record I posted. I copied the info from census and marriage records because of the Hill name. I'm still trying to fill in the relationships of the families. Gaylon Hill may have more on this, or one of the other descendants of John Prior Hill. If I find anything more I'll post it. These 2 names are 2 of our brick walls. If anyone on the list is working either family or has "run into " these names anywhere - Henderson or Decatur, please respond ! We can't get the Greener name out of Henderson county and know nothing about the Floyd family. I have found mention of Floyd in Decatur County. According to a death certificate of 1 of her children, Agness Greener was a Floyd before her marriage. Renea: They were 1870's and after. Michael Calvin GARVEY died in Lexington, TN (my GGrandfather IRISH of course with a name like that!). His wife was Mary Eliz. JAGGERS. Their children married into the other surnames. Also have the surname MANESS which was the name of the older gentleman that Mary Eliz. (my ggrandmother) married after the death of Mike GARVEY. They had my grandmother Martha Elizabeth GARVEY who married Orville Joseph PAFFORD (of the Benton Co. PAFFORDS). Thanks for offering to keep a look out for them. I would love to get in contact with anyone who may know any of the descendents of these people with these surnames. Renea and all I don't know who the parents are of Jane Davis who married Meridath Hendrix. There weere lots of Davises in Henderson County at the time who were not related to our Davises. I have a MORRIS line that I'm hoping someone in Decatur/ Henderson can help me with. I'm researching the Arnold's of Benton Co., TN & my missing Arnold is: Sarah Arnold (b.1828 TN),married Robert Morris on July 10, 1850 in Benton Co., TN. (Robert is also listed in misc. marriage records as Robert Harris.) After their marriage in 1850, they left Benton Co., TN & never again appeared in the Benton Co., TN census. From other family records, I have reason to believe they may have moved to Decatur/ Henderson Co. area. At this point, ANY help would be greatly appreciated!!! I have NO further info. on this family. Online in the 1790 NC census on Ancestry I found a Richard Pratt (poss.father to Polly Pratt who is poss. sister to Richard T. Pratt) ) on page 168 and found a William Walker on p. 168 ( father of Millie m. to Richard T. Pratt.) so my guess is to find out what county that page refers to. Millie's father was in Cumberland Co. NC in the 1810 census. I knew there was something else I was suppose to look up when I went to Lansing , MI yesterday. Oh well next time.
