According to the new Decatur County History there are still Graves descendants in Decatur Co. Maybe one of them has the maiden name of Sophrona Caroline. According to the 1900 Census, she was born in Jul 1830 and I believe it said she was the mother of 12 children, most of whom were dead by then. Still looking for Fanny Autry Montgomery's family. I found Fanny(listed as Frances A.) on the Decatur 1880 census with her husband. It stated that she was born in Tn. and both her parents were born in SC. There is a Stephen Autry listed on the Decatur 1850, 1860, & 1870 census records. Nancy was his wife in 1850 with 2 kids, but in 1860 Sarah is the wife with 3 new kids. (Nancy was listed on the 1860 NC census alone) Of the 3 kids in 1860 with Stephen & Sarah, there was a female child named B.J. whose age matches up with Fanny's. But in 1870 only Stephen & Sarah are listed in the home. I found Nancy and BJ on the Alabama 1870 census. This seems very odd to me, but since this is my 1st genealogy project, maybe someone can tell me what likely happened. Amy
