    1. [TNDECATU] Marriage Info Needed
    2. Hi All, Looking for information on a Margaret "Maggie" A. Morrison's marriage to a Charles A. Alston. I show that they were married Mar 5, 1876. I REALLY NEED to find info on Maggie's parents. All I have was she was suspossed to have been born Sep 22, 1858. Don't know where or to whom. After the death of Charles in 1884, she married Willie Garvin Coats (my Great-Grandfather) Jun 6, 1886. Both marriages took place in Decatur county Tennessee. On her marriage certificate to Willie, she was listed as Maggie A. Alston and for many years I thought her maiden name was Alston and she was a daughter of C.H.K. Alston, a minister in Decatur county. I just recently discovered the 1st marriage to Charles A. Alston, which made her a daughter-in-law to C.H.K. Alston rather than his daughter. This information blew my whole genealogy file apart, as I had traced the Alston's all the way back to the 1600's and now find they are really no relation. If anyone has any information on the Morrison or Coats families in the Decatur area, PLEASE let me know, and if anyone needs info on the Alston's and allied families to them just ask, I may have what you need. 3. Pat, Thanks for looking. I wouldn't know what else to look under unless it would be the variations on the spelling of the last name such as Carry, Cairy, Kerry etc, of Merkle, Miracle so forth. I'm not sure these two ever married, it seems if they did it wasn't in Tn. If they didn't they sure had a housefull of kids. Anyway thanks again. 2. Pat Hi! I would be very interested in taking you up on your offer. However, I don't know of dates, is that a problem? I am looking for information on John Henry Sanders who married Nancy Waggoner and later married Willie Nevill. The spelling on these two ladies' last name could be different. I think they were married in or in surround counties of Lincoln. Am I asking an impossible task? Please don't do it if it will be too difficult. It sure was nice of you to offer your services to those of us and much appreciated! Sincerely, Lorri L. Whitehead @ [email protected] Researching: Warren, Sanders, Nevill/Neville/Nevills etc.

    3. Hi Pat, I have a look-up I would like to request. I don't know the year for sure but the approximaty year is 1867/1868. The grooms name would be William or Bill Cary/Carey and the brides name would be Matilda, Tildy or Tilly Myracle. I have no idea what county, although William (Bill) was in Carroll and Henderson Co. area. I'm not sure about Matildas family, I think maybe Henderson or Decatur but not for sure. I know there is a Matilda Myracle that married a (W.F.) Boren. That isn't the one I am looking for, or atleast I don't think that is the one. I believe she died young during childbirth or something like that. Anyway she is buried at Dukes Chapel. This Matilda had several children that were Carys and she lived until sometime in the early1900's. I really appreciate the offer and thank-you in advance.
